By booking and receiving teeth whitening services from Smile and Shine Professional Teeth Whitening ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Smile and Shine provides professional cosmetic teeth whitening services at our facility located in Benoni, South Africa. Our services include:
- Standard Teeth Whitening (60-minute session)
- Intensive Teeth Whitening (90-minute session)
- Consultation and assessment services
- Aftercare guidance and support
3. Eligibility and Health Requirements
3.1 Age Requirements
Clients must be 18 years or older to receive our teeth whitening services. Clients under 18 require parental or guardian consent.
3.2 Health Conditions
Our services are not suitable for individuals who:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have gum disease, tooth decay, or exposed roots
- Have severe tooth sensitivity
- Have had recent dental surgery or oral procedures
- Have allergies to peroxide or whitening products
- Have crowns, veneers, or extensive dental work on front teeth
You must disclose all relevant health information during your consultation.
4. Booking and Cancellation Policy
4.1 Appointments
Appointments must be booked in advance via phone, WhatsApp, or our online booking system. We will confirm your appointment via your preferred contact method.
4.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment may result in a cancellation fee.
4.3 Late Arrivals
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule your session to accommodate other clients.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Pricing
Current pricing is as follows:
- Standard Whitening: R590
- Intensive Whitening: R990
Prices are subject to change. The price confirmed at the time of booking will be honored.
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept cash, card payments, and electronic transfers. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
6. Treatment Expectations and Results
6.1 Results May Vary
Teeth whitening results vary depending on individual factors including:
- Current tooth shade and staining
- Dental history and tooth condition
- Lifestyle factors (diet, smoking, etc.)
- Genetic factors
While most clients experience 2-9 shades of whitening, we cannot guarantee specific results.
6.2 Maintenance
Results typically last 6-12 months with proper care. Following our aftercare instructions will help maintain your results longer.
6.3 Sensitivity
Some clients may experience temporary tooth sensitivity following treatment. This is normal and typically subsides within 24-48 hours.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate health information
- Follow all pre-treatment and aftercare instructions
- Inform us immediately if you experience any adverse reactions
- Maintain good oral hygiene
- Consult with your dentist if you have any dental concerns
8. Limitation of Liability
While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and satisfaction, Smile and Shine Professional Teeth Whitening shall not be liable for:
- Results that do not meet your expectations due to individual factors
- Temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation
- Pre-existing dental conditions that may be revealed during treatment
- Allergic reactions to products (if you have not disclosed known allergies)
Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.
9. Professional Standards
All treatments are performed by trained and certified teeth whitening specialists. We follow strict hygiene and safety protocols in accordance with South African health and safety regulations.
10. Photography and Marketing
With your written consent, we may take before and after photographs for your records and for marketing purposes. You have the right to decline photography or request that images not be used for marketing.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Smile and Shine Professional Teeth Whitening and protected by copyright laws.
12. Privacy
Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts in Gauteng.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and become effective immediately upon posting.
